l would like to turn off the sensor that makes the headlights and taillights come on by themselves - my headlights are coming on a 4 pm now that the time has changed- l have had alternator problems and l am fully capable of turning them on when it gets dark-

is there an auto switch on your controls,that is how my g/f caddy is

1997+ Chevy Camaro & Pontiac Firebird. DRL control module, a cigarette pack sized black box behind the radio. Pop off front panel over radio & heater ducts, 4 clips. The DRL module is clipped to the HVAC duct. The connectors u will be working with r not hot but some of those leads behind the dash ARE hot, its best to disconnect the battery negative terminal to be sure. The blue connector on the DRL module has eight cavities, but only seven of them r used. Cavity B is empty. l discovered that if that terminal is grounded, ur DRLs r disabled. The black wire in cavity A is a ground, so l took the DRL module apart (easy to do, the cover just slips off) & solder-jumpered the A & B terminals on the PCB. This leaves u with no DRLs, ur power hatch & handbrake light still works, & it all looks factory. Easy to undo if u want. A switch can be connected in this A to B lead for DRLs as an option. You r jumping a ground, not a hot wire.

put your e-brake on 1 click it should shut off your lights it worked on my 96 lumina
