would a 1977 gmc jimmy w/ a 400 small block, th 350 trans(auto) and a shfitkit pull a 1987 ford full size bronco w a 302 bored out w/ maunal trans? im not sure if l should hook up becasue l dont wanna screw my auto transup if l end up getting pulled back.

l assume that what your asking is if you can 'out' pull the Bronco. In other words hook the rear bumpers together, both pull and see which one goes forward and which one goes backwards. Possibly you can, but you're both idiots if that is what you're planning on doing. All sorts of things can go wrong and break trucks and/or injure people. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.

You have the advantage with the auto trans. In my young and dumb days, l witnessed a similar contest my friends did on the pavement. One guy had a '87 Blazer 4x4 with a stock 305 automatic and the front driveshaft removed(broke). The other had a '77 Chevy short bed 4x4 350 stick shift. The Blazer pulled him all over BECAUSE the guy with the stick revved up and dumped the clutch,spinning tires. And let me know how many parts fly out after it is over!
