l have been haveing trouble for the last couple weeks.It was very slowit seamed to get the engine to have ignition that will keep the engine running.Now it will now start at all.

you need a starter or new motor.

Sounds like a Van to me. l hate Vans. They stay in the shop. Everybody l know that has a Van has problems. It will probably cost 700.00 to get fixed.
If you get it fixed, drive it until you can afford a truck.

!!! my engine starter just went out too! does it even like make more sound then a little click noise? cause it could be ur battery, but its most likely ur starter, grease & oil gets into the starter & just eats it up, it cost me 85 dollars to get the started rebuilt, my car now works fine. search on google for started rebuilders. l used a company called pacific auto electric, they r amazing & l have used them many times.. very inexpensive, just make sure u get it REBUILT not a new one.

probably the alternator, not charging the battery, battery likely to be bad as well..

-Sounds like you need an alternator.
The last time you drove it did you notice your lights and/or dashboard dimming?

-Battery -- Check that your cables are connected and clean (use baking soda & toothbrush)

-Did you check the coil wire?

-If it is not the above -- check your ballast (sp?) resistor.

- Also as a last resort. could be a clogged gas filter? or no air getting through your air filter?

Battery dead? Starter shafted? Could be about three things.

Next time you ask a question, give the make, model, and MILEAGE.

Has it ever had spark plugs replaced? Fuel filter?

l have an Astro van. 90,000 trouble free miles.

Pull ,charge and load test for a bad battery,or just go get a new one.

you need more details. Does the engine turn over and just not catch? If so, no spark is your problem. clicking would be battery or alternator.

l have an Astro van at work, same thing happened. It was a nightmare to fix. l did get a starter but it did not solve the problem. l think l got a new distributor as well. last year l got an alternator and battery.
