These r great 4x4 trucks to build. The first thing l would do is look for a Carbuerated 350 to build & look up an Edelbrock Top end kit an then buy an Edelbrock 750cfm carb. part no. EDL-1407. If u get a Performer RPM top end kit this will make 435hp so making an engine swap would be great & if u can not afford this then l do not think u should be building the truck at all. This is cheaper then buying a whole crate motor from Edelbrock but the engine will be fully assembled & ready to run out of the crate. Then l would look up a 6inch suspension lift kit. a 6inch is perfect for street & off rod trucks. Then look up some 35inch Super Swamper tires to go with that lift. This will make the truck a force to be reckoned with.

Do not buy a crate engine firstly. This would not pass emissions.

It is a good truck, here is some ideas - pipes out the top, air cleaner out the top, lift, mud tires, lower gears, a computer chip, and a winch. This truck was not designed for speed, so do not go that route, it will be expensive. Go have some mud fun.
