l shy away from GM car because it put On Star in its products. l do not know this is part of the problem with fail GM management or not.

nothing to do with it. They are failing because they do not watch their expenses on suppliers.

There problem has been poor financial decisions and even worse executives. They wasted money frivolously and now they are reaping the crops they planted.

If you do not want On Star then have them disconnect it. Its as simple as that.

Every car comes with some type of black box these days and its not something you can disconnect or something that only GM does. Unless you are driving something at least 20 years old you are stuck with it.

Unless you're in the mafia, what is your problem with on star? nothing wrong with it, it could save your ass in an accident. and l doubt anyone really wants to listen in on what you're saying in the car.

GM is the only car maker to include OnStar in there product lines & it is a great thing to have u can use the turn by turn direction device, On Star telephone set up however the phone minutes a very expensive. the automatic accident notification devise is a great thing to have there r many advantages to OnStar. The only problem that GM has is the labor burden rate with the UAW twice what the other MFGs u dont see Honda, Toyota, Saab, BMW all built is America with there hand out. its because there burden rate is half of the big three.

YOU probably have GPS in your car. YOUR cell phone has GPS in it. And you're worried about Onstar??

GM is not failing they are just like every other money hungry Business they want the free money the poor management is due to corporate guys who make 5 million a year and want to lay off the people who make less then 25k a year to save there own checking account when all they had to do to start with is cut out a small fraction of there millions a year and keep the blue collar workers who will spend there money and help boost the economy within itself
