l live in texas and l have an 07 chevy silverado with flowmaster exhaust and it still is not loud enough. what are some legal ways to make my truck louder?

l will bet you have the 50 series. Trade them in for the 40 series and cut out the catalytic converter.

Nothing can be done to a car, specifically, to increase it is sound. If u get a new exhaust, & it gets louder, that is one thing. But to intentionally make it louder, is illegal.

Exhaust cutouts, also illegal.

Ignore anyone who tells u to cut out ur cat, too. That is a federal crime.

l do not know if this is legal but.. if you put a hole in the side of your exhuast then it will get alot louder. lol.
i dont recommend this, as its really bad for the environment and u probably will have to buy a new exhaust sooner or later.

If u take out the catalytic converter your car will not pass inspection. Some states its a big fine it they find your car without one on it. But theres always headers and duel exhaust with a different style muffler.

l have an 07 toyota tundra, and this is what l did. l put dual exhaust on, but l put blank mufflers on, which is basically no mufflers, just strait pipe back from the headers, with the catilytic converters still on. the shell of the mufflers is still on there, but its just around the straight pipes back, so it is completey legal, everybody thinks the mufflers are there, but there not.
