For a long distance? l have a '98 that has a 350 in it. l am in college and hurting for money, (do not tell me to sell it please) and l was wondering, if you've driven your truck at 90 for a long distance, was your gas mileage a lot worse than if you drive at like 60? Please answer only if you have experience, because l know that usually more speed= more gas but every vehicle is different.
Chris: Actually, the truck drives perfectly smooth and calm all the way up to 100. (it is limited to 100) all my friends drive at 90 but l do not wanna lose all my gas mileage

Fuel mileage drop-off with increasing speed is heightened with a pickup.

Mike B is right the faster you go the lower your fuel mileage
because of wind resistance (Friction with the air)
basic physics
but also typically you have to run way mor rpms to go 90 instead of 60
more rpms=more fuel going into the engine every minute
