1997 lumina, 3.1L engine. To make long story short, l misplaced the pushrods on that motor since l was doing an intake job on it.

Dumb question, but l forgot the answer.

In what order do they go back in?

I am aware that the exhaust pushrods are long and intake pushrods are short, but what l mean is do they go in as intake, exhaust/intake,exhaust, etc., or is it the exhaust in the back, and the intake rods in the front?

The long rods are for the exhaust rocker arms.

The intake valve pushrods measure 144 mm (5.75 in) long.
Exhaust valve pushrods measure 152.5 mm (6.0 in) long.
The intake valve will be next to the intake hole opening as you look at the head.
Install the rocker arm bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 19 N·m (14 lb ft).
