l have a 93 chevy cavilier and every time l put gas in the car it gets to stalling and shaking bad then when l try to give it some gas the gas paddle doesnt get gas and there is no speed and the car just stalls and shakes and then when stop it turns off or gets to idling high and low

l work on mostly Nissans. l know the likely cause of your problem but l will respect your request for chevy caviler mechanics only. Good luck!

It sounds like you're not getting the right air-fuel mixture.
There can be several reasons for this, but here are some things to check:
1. Fuel pressure (either the pump or the pressure regulator can be bad)
2. Mass air flow sensor and / or manifold absolute pressure sensor
3. Oxygen sensor
4. Vacuum leaks
5. EGR valve function
6. Fuel injectors
7. Air filter

map and new plug wires.hate when that happens.Put timing light on it and see if its at 10 degrees if anything else repair the chain or belts on 4 cylinders
