Its blue and does not have any rust besides one spot. l believe this is a barn yard find but l am a college kid and l dont have the money. Im really on a ledge here. just wondering some peoples opinions.

to get a 58 chevy up to snuff and be able to drive it arond is going to cost mucho dollars---trust me on this. Do you have the money to do it? OR can you buy the car and store it away for a later time?? if not then let it go.

l was once wanting to buy a car made in 1912 but did not have the finances to go with the restoration. We all have dreams.

where is the one rust spot, and if it is a barnyard find you have to be careful when you start to drive it if you get it, that more rust spots appear. like rocker panels and fender wells, if you can l would go and inspect the entire car. that is just what l would do.

There is pros & cons to restoring a '58. The pros r that like most classic trucks almost every part is available in reproduction. You can basically buy an entire body piece by piece. They r also usually cheaper to buy in restorable condition than the '55-'57 models. The downside is that it will cost just as much to restore as a '55-'57 & will not be worth nearly as much when finished, with the exception of the rare Cameo model whichc was never built in the 3200 series. The '55-'57 body style just has more of a collector following than the '58-'59 models. If it really is almost completely rust free it does not sound like a bad price.
