l would like to know practically everything about an el camino.
and if they have them in stick shift.
i know what an el camino looks like.

What year?
El Camino is were Chevy is answer to Ford is Rancheros. The early Caminos had a Chevelle front end, with a truck box in the rear. They had the same engine and tranny options as Chevelles, including 4 speeds, 327s and big blocks. Around 1978 or so, Caminos recieved Monte Carlo front ends. Monte Carlos were considered 'luxury' vehicles and had very few (if any) stick shift options.

Well, they built them in '59 and '60, then again from '64 to '87 ( l think). Plenty of them came with a stick. l once passed on a halfway decent '68 with a 350 and 4-speed. Let is see, they came with big blocks, small blocks, sixes, SS packages. From '72 to sometime in the '80s GMC had their own version, the Sprint, which later became the Caballero.

El Caminos were produced from 1959-1987 but 1961-1963 there was no factory El Caminos made.1959-1960 El Caminos were based on the full size Chevy & came in a 6 cylinder 235, V-8s 283{small-block} & 348 big block & could be had in either 4 barrel or tri-power carburetor set-ups on the 348.Sticks & Autos were available with a 2 spd. power glide automatic or either a 3 or 4 spd. manual{stick} shift either on the column or on the floor. In 1964 Chevrolet reintroduced the El Camino but on a smaller frame taken from the Chevelle mid-size car line.These were produced all the way up into the last year 1987 & could be had with auto & manual trannys. 1964-1966 there were no Super Sports until the 67 model year.1966 u could get a 396 up until 1972 & in 1970-1974 there was a 454 available in both types of transmissions.1977 was the last year of the big framed El Caminos they went to a slightly smaller frame in 1978 until 1987.These were used on the same frame as the Malibu & the Monte Carlo line & u could get either a 4.3 or 2.8 V-6 or a 305 or 350 V-8 depending on the year.Too much to list in one answer just google EL Camino or go to a bookstore & or Public Library there is more information out there for u to see.
