well research it better for prices & compatability. headers, cam kit, exhaust, intake, turbo, bolt on nos, bored throttle body, tranny(auto, man), gear swap old diff..ENGINE SWAPS ARE EASY FOR THIS YEAR, which is the best option! 350crates r inexpensive & guarantee u a good working warranteed engine, what money u got & what do u want???? there not a whole lot u can do to the engine(well theres alot, but cheaper to engine swap) Then there is suspension upgrades, tranny upgrades, & power train upgrades as well. IT IS MUCH CHEAPER to buy & sell for a v8

'92 camaro is a nice car, l own a '88.
The options r endless. It all depends on ur budget, goals, useage, needs, etc.
Are u in a emission tested state, does car have to stay emissions legal
Whats ur budget..
How fast is ''a lot''
you can take the 16 second 1/4 mile car down to a 7 second car but will run u $30,000 to do it.
If u want to keep the stock engine, then headers, aftermarket Y pipe, single 3'' pipe, good muffler,
Small upgraded camshaft, better intake, full performance tune up, plugs, wires, K&N air filter, etc
aftermarket chip, etc etc
If u want to swap engines, thats even more options.. GM performance parts goodwrench 350, 260 HP, 300 ft lbs $1600 350 HO crate engine, 330 HP, 380 ft lbs $2700 ZZ4 350, 355 HP, 405 ft lbs $4000
Or build ur own (alot cheaper)
Now some need to know info.. These cars has a weak unibody design, anything over stock & u need weld in sub frame connectors..
The rear ends r weak, u start making power, & hooking rather than spinning & u will break it. l have broke 2 already on my 88, now upgraded to a ford 9'' rear
Traction sucks, but good suspension design, just not strong enough metal from GM. Lower control arms, torque arm, pan hard rod all flexes under power & that kills traction.

Well l was going to type out a long response but Chevyraceman beat me to it lol.
Listen to what he said. Personally l think the LO3(the motor u have) is a boat anchor. Now some will disagree but by the time u do a head swap, cam swap etc the amount of $$ spent could go towards a crate motor or a nice built 350 from a shop. Like Chevyraceman said, what r u goals? If you're looking to only add a few horsepower then keep the motor & do little things here & there. If you're looking for a car to knock off 'vettes & other LS1 cars then you're going to need a lot more, not only with the motor but EVERYTHING else(trans, suspension, rear etc). So post back up with ur goals.
