My first car was a 1997 camaro z-28 and l have been away from chevy for 10 years now, its time to comebcak, but l dont know which of the two.

What makes you think GM is going to be able to build the camaro? No demand no car.

Take the Corvette. Better Build Quality, probably lighter and the suspension will be better. This adds up to more fun to drive.

I'd take the 'vette even though l am a huge Fbody guy. l like the new Camaro.a lot.but l still can not stand the interior/gauge cluster.

The '08 is r nice 'vettes.though I'd try to find a LT3(gotta have HUD & NAV lol). My suggestion would be to test drive a Camaro when they're out in a few months.however l doubt u will be able to test drive a SS since most, if not all, of the dealer stocked SS is will be customer ordered cars.

The group in charge of corvette does not let any other Chevy production vehicles for that matter any GM products be better than the corvette. They maintain the products high performance standards. That why a few years back the GTO did not have the same horsepower as the corvette even though it had the same engine. The SS will be cheaper and have great performance but it will be less than the vette.

Corvette for me. For you, depends on what you want. Do you want the newness and the uniqueness of the Camaro, or do you want the legendary performance of America is greatest sports car?

l agree with John L. is well said answer. The Corvette is manufactured in it is own plant located in Bowling Green Kentucky, also home of the Corvette Museum.
This car represents the best that Chevy & GM have to offer, it is race heritage goes back to 1953 & has consistently captured the soul of the enthusiast. The car was vastly improved by Zora Duntov (known as the father of the Corvette, a great German engineer), since deceased. Regarding ur question l think that the Corvette will handle better (primarily due to it is lower center of gravity, rigid space frame construction & massive ultra-high performance tires) & the Camaro may win the straight line quarter mile. As far as future collectibilty is concerned, the ''SS'' may eventually be more desirable as there will probably be fewer of them. At the end of the day these r 2 excellent choices & u will not be disappointed with either one. Good luck!
