this is a 1989 S-10 4x4 with a 4.3 auto trans.

when l got this it had a bad coil, and bad pickup coil, l replaced both and its has been running fine.

tell about 2 weeks ago when just after warm up it woild not run right at all, it idles fine but as soon as you step on the gas at about 1500rpms or more it starts to cut out and run rought and loss of power.

there are no codes at all, l do have the auto xray 6000 scan tool that give me both live reading, but nothing is coming up out of range.

and l did replace the pcm just to be sure it was not the problem as l had one on the shelf.
as l said l have the auto x-ray scan tool, and it gives live reading, as well l have checked most of the sensers just to be sure and thay are all in range as should be, timing and valve time is on as well, no codes come up at anytime, the only thing that dose come up that dont make sent to me is the clear flood mode come on after it has been running for 3 to 5min.
i am changing right now the TPS and l did change the pcm as l had one here, but the same is still happening, l have looked all the wires over, and tested all the wires as well with a meter.

and l have on deman5 as well as im a l am a state licensed master mechanic & ASE certified technician

but this one in my own and im just a littil stump as to why l can find the problem, maybe cause it my own truck lol, and my wife wont let me just burn in down.

try to check out the harness on the engine it might need to be replaced

Sounds to me like the converter is plugged. Loosen up the exhaust manifold and see if it dies what happens.

Had the ignition timing changed by itself? If so examine the valve timing- timing chain and gears worn past specs. This is a tough test unless you have the right tools for it.

l own & drive a 88' S-10 Blazer 4X4 4.3. l have owned this Blazer since last May or June & l have spent many hours of tinkering & repairing on it & l still have some problems, so l know some about the vehicle.

You sound like u know what u r doing, but my first thought was ''Vaccum leak''..

Could u have a leak around the intake or throttle body?

Another thought is the ''Fuel Pump or Filter'' is the pressure good? You could have trash in the fuel lines. A stopped up Fuel Filter could cause this.

l would run some good fuel & injector cleaner through the system. l do not know if the S-10 was sitting for a while, but it would not hurt to do this & see if it helps.

l have had & heard of bad air filters causing problems like this. As l am sure u know lack of air can choke it out.

Just shooting in the dark, but any of these could be the problem.

yeah l agree, sounds like a possible vacuum leak. my 89 had a similar problem, but it was a compound one. many of my lines were cracked and torn, and on top of that, my throttle body was dirty. l know you know what youre doing, but l thought i'd throw in my two cents
